Welcome to southlmi, the website of the South of Scotland Labour Market and Economic Intelligence project.
Here we aim to provide a clearer insight into the operation of the labour market in the rural South of Scotland - Scottish Borders and Dumfries & Galloway. It draws on a wide range of information, intelligence and expertise at local, regional and national levels and includes primary research where there are gaps in existing information provision.
The reports and other outputs of this project will help inform strategic decision-making and operational planning within local agencies and businesses by providing evidence that is comprehensive, current and relevant.
This year’s South of Scotland annual labour market reports, with editions focusing on each of the two local areas, Scottish Borders and Dumfries and Galloway, have now been completed and are available electronically or in hardcopy format by contacting us.
